This owner attended our Beauty Supply Academy in 2018. She had no funds or business experience. After attending the academy, we were able to help her secure the funds to open. Finding a location was difficult and the pandemic made it more difficult, however, we were able to secure an ideal space in a busy location.

This couple attended our sister company, Urban Business Institute's Entrepreneurial program. Once there, they decided a beauty supply store would be in their best interest. After attending our annual conference, they jumped into this pursuit. A few weeks later, along with many of our other clients, we entered into the pandemic shutdown that had effects on them. After numerous uncontrollable setbacks and Beauty Supply Institute's business strength, we were able to weather the COVID storm and get them opened.

This owner came to us because there were no stores in her area. So, she wanted to be the first. Her area had limited retail leasing opportunities, which made for a challenge in securing a space. Once one was found, the negotiation process was tough, seeing that there were little options in the area. We eventually arrived at a deal for this owner and had her opened within a few months.

Donald came to us as a referral. He didn't attend a conference or the beauty supply academy, he came to us with a location secured already through his connections with the local mayor and police chief. As an absentee owner, he had challenges getting everything coordinated at times but his determination saw him through. The salon in the back concept will make this location to new go-to beauty hub in this area.
