A NOTE ON OUR PATH FORWARD
The Georgia Attorney General's office has concluded their inquiry of our finances, client communications and internal processes. Unfortunately, during this time, we were prohibited from communicating with our clients. We are pleased to report that the organization and the AG's office finally arrived at a resolution.
In August 2025, we were presented the option of paying a fine of $2.2M, (which included refunds to clients on stores we completed) and continue our operations, or not pay the fine but cease our beauty supply headquarters and activities within the state. We chose the latter.
We are grateful for the fair and impartial work conducted by the state's attorney general's office during their investigation, despite no longer being able to conduct the work we love.
We will continue to rest in the accomplishments we battled through over the past two decades in helping clients break into this difficult industry through training thousands and opening almost 250 stores. No amount of media coverage prioritizing sensation over facts will harm that legacy.
Reflection on the events over the last year and a half and the company's nearly 20 year history of launching of over 200 stores around the country tells us it is time to pass the torch. We are proud of the younger generation of entrepreneurs who will further this work we have laid a firm foundation for. We thank all of our supporters near and far, domestic and international over these many years.
